Westlaw makes it much more efficient to do research, and it's not just Westlaw itself, but it's the tools that accompany it, such as the iPad app, which allows me to do research, and to review cases that I've already researched, that are in my folders, in my system, at any place where I am – whenever I have my iPad – because it can go with me anywhere.

I always share [with colleagues] what I'm doing, especially the organizational abilities that Westlaw provides in doing the research. And then from that point, how it moves not only seamlessly to the iPad, but also how the information is always available to you once you find it and the fact that they don't charge you anything for that iPad app. It's freely downloadable and it's available to you no matter where you are – and that's the biggest thing. Wherever you are and you have your iPad with you, you can do the research that you need to do and address the issue that comes to mind.

I definitely think that mobile technology and, with this iPad app, you're sitting somewhere and you can open it, look at it and it's just not a hindrance to you. It enables you simply to take advantage of downtime that you could not take advantage of before.
Westlaw really helps us to be competitive in that it allows us to get to the information that we need, to organize it and to make it available to us throughout the case.
