Helen on cross-border corporate practice: As the world gets smaller, the rules get more complex. You suddenly realize that there are more rules that apply to you, because you’re doing business outside your original community. Even if you’re a U.S.-based company, you’re probably doing cross-border transactions. Your supplier might be overseas, for example. There are a number of ways that your business can be impacted by the laws of other jurisdictions.
