Herr is a partner in the Minneapolis firm of Maslon LLP. He is past president of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, and is currently president-elect of the Academy of Court-Appointed Masters. Herr has also been appointed by the court to serve as a special master in several class action cases. Herr also serves as reporter to the Minnesota Supreme Court's Advisory Committees on Rules of Civil Procedure, General Rules of Practice, and Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure. (January 2015)
