Create a Pattern Deposition Outline

The Outlines feature in Westlaw Case Notebook® can help you quickly create a pattern deposition to use when you need to ask the same questions of deponents in a case. To create a pattern deposition, complete these steps:

1. Click the New arrow and then click Outline in the menu. The Create New Outline dialog box is displayed.





2. Type Pattern Deposition in the Title box and click OK. The outline, titled Pattern Deposition, is listed under Outlines in the left pane and displayed on a tab in the right pane.






3. Click the Insert button on the toolbar above the outline, then click Click the Insert button on the toolbar above the outline, then click Insert Transcript Questions. The Insert Transcript Questions dialog box is displayed.. The Insert Transcript Questions dialog box is displayed.
4. Select the transcript for the pattern deposition and click Select the transcript for the pattern deposition and click OK. The questions are displayed in the outline.. The questions are displayed in the outline.
