As you know, WestlawNext was released to the legal market over 4 years ago and its usage and market share have increased dramatically since its launch. As noted in our recent message, Westlaw.com will be retired in August 2015 and the time has come to transition all users to a better and more comprehensive solution.

We understand that many of you know every nuance of Westlaw.com, but WestlawNext provides you with the same pin-point accuracy along with many additional tools and benefits, such as filters, foldering, WestSearch and Simplified Pricing, with no additional charges for browsing primary law or KeyCite retrieved documents. Our entire Account Management Team is here to help you with this transition, so we are here for you!

  • Librarians – Contact your Librarian Relations Manager to learn more about WestlawNext from a librarian’s perspective. Delve into advanced search techniques and functions to better serve your patrons. We can teach you how to look at usage by platform via QuickView+ and Westlaw Analytics, to identify users who need to be trained on WestlawNext. We can also help you develop Custom Pages for specific practice areas or jurisdictions along with eLibraries on WestlawNext.
  • Users in your Organization – Your entire Account Management team will provide training and updates for new WestlawNext users. CLEs and practice group programs on specific content are always popular, along with paralegal and individual training programs. We also will work with you to migrate your Alerts from Westlaw.com to WestlawNext.
  • WestlawNext Web Part & Portal Tools – Our Technical Account Managers will help you install Find & Print and other useful Web parts that will point to WestlawNext from your portal, and can assist in providing links to topic-specific training materials on WestlawNext. These are short, concise and highly effective video lessons that you can share via links.

Every firm is different, so we will work with you to customize a migration plan and start implementing it soon. We are here to help and look forward to working with you.
