Chinese legal scholars provide a concise introduction to key Chinese legal topics in four volumes. International economic law (vol. 1) covers Chinese law dealing with creating favorable economic conditions for business development. Business law (vol. 2) deals with corporate law, agency, transactional law, and other issues relevant to doing business in China. Criminal law (vol. 3) discusses the Chinese criminal law system. Taxation law (vol. 4) discusses Chinese tax law, especially as it applies to businesses. The volumes are published in conjunction with the University of Maryland Office of International and Executive Programs, under the guidance of Dr. Charles Wellford.
